Prerequisites

Before starting, make sure you have:

1. Login to Just My Socks Dashboard

Visit Just My Socks Official Website and login.

  • Click “Services” → “My Services”
  • Click your active service
  • Find and copy the “Subscription Link” (Shadowsocks recommended)

Step 2: Download ClashX

1. Visit Official GitHub

Open browser and visit:

https://github.com/yichengchen/clashX/releases

2. Download

  1. Find the latest version
  2. Download: ClashX.dmg

3. Install

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file
  2. Drag ClashX to your Applications folder
  3. Open ClashX from Applications
  4. If you see a security warning:
    • Go to System Preferences → Security & Privacy
    • Click “Open Anyway”

Step 3: Import Subscription

1. Find ClashX in Menu Bar

After launching, you’ll see a cat icon (🐱) in the menu bar at the top.

2. Add Subscription

  1. Click the ClashX icon
  2. Go to “Config” → “Remote Config” → “Manage”
  3. Click “Add”
  4. Paste your subscription link in the URL field
  5. Click “OK”

3. Select Config

  1. Click ClashX icon again
  2. Go to “Config”
  3. Select your Just My Socks config

Step 4: Connect and Test

1. Enable System Proxy

  1. Click ClashX icon
  2. Click “Set as System Proxy” (check mark will appear)

2. Select a Node

  1. Click ClashX icon
  2. Go to “Proxy” → “Proxy” or “Global”
  3. Select a node with low latency

3. Verify Connection

  1. Open Safari or Chrome
  2. Visit Google
  3. If it loads, success! ✅

Step 5: Optimize Settings

1. Start at Login

  1. Click ClashX icon
  2. Check “Start at Login”

2. Enable Enhanced Mode (Optional)

For apps that don’t support system proxy:

  1. Click ClashX icon
  2. Check “Enhanced Mode”

Troubleshooting

❓ Cannot Connect

Solutions:

  1. Update config: Config → Remote Config → Update
  2. Switch to another node
  3. Check subscription link
  4. Wait for auto IP replacement (5-10 min)

❓ Slow Speed

Solutions:

  1. Switch nodes
  2. Try Rule mode instead of Global
  3. Check local network
  4. Avoid peak hours
